About Caffeine Driven Development
Caffeine Driven Development is a free idle / incremental game about the life of a
developer who turns coffee into code into money. You start alone at a desk with one
keyboard and a cooling cup of coffee; before long you are running a caffeinated software
empire, your bedroom slowly filling with monitors, rubber ducks, pizza boxes, and a shelf
of hard-won trophies. It runs entirely in your browser — no install, no sign-up — and your
progress is saved locally on your own device.
How to play

Write code. Click the developer to type lines of code (LoC); your code
is sold automatically for money.

Hire help. Spend money on two ladders of producers — the
coffee ladder raises your global caffeine multiplier, and the code
ladder raises how much code you generate per second, from interns and rubber ducks up to
AI copilots and agent swarms.

Buy upgrades. One-time upgrades multiply your clicks, producers, and
bonuses, and milestone rewards stack up as you grow each producer.

Catch the Stack Overflow bonus. A bonus icon appears now and then for a
burst of cash or a frenzy of output — click it before it vanishes.

Earn achievements. Dozens of developer-humor achievements each grant a
small permanent boost to everything.

Prestige. Once you have grown big enough, “rewrite from scratch” to
reset your run in exchange for a permanent multiplier — every prestige tier is a fresh,
faster climb.

Collect. Spend prestige progress in the Store on a shelf of collectible
gadgets and pop-culture artifacts that decorate your room and boost your output.
Tips
- You keep earning while the tab is closed — come back to a pile of idle income.

Balance the coffee and code ladders: caffeine multiplies everything, but you still need
code to sell.
